Facebook Terminates Audio Application
VentureBeat reports that Facebook killed the popular Audio application for copyright reasons, and gives two reasons for its significance: that FB is taking a harder line on apps that are potentially infringing and giving developers a smaller window to bring their apps into line.
Besides this, it clearly shows the popularity of music (along with the popularity of iLike and Last.fm's apps). I wonder if FB was pressured by any of the labels to yank Audio. Regardless there is clearly the need for a legitimate application that enables the streaming of full tracks.
