Email FAQ

by admin last modified 2009-12-30 18:21

The following is an FAQ about Daily Snapshot email subscriptions.  If you have any issues receiving the Snapshot, just email us immediately at support@digitalmusicnews.com.  We can usually resolved issues within 24 hours.

I'm subscribed to the Daily Snapshot newsletter. Why don't I receive the newsletter in my inbox?

Daily Snapshot subscribers occasionally have problems receiving the Daily Snapshot email. The number one reason for this is email spam and/or security settings, set either by the subscriber personally, or by their Internet Service Provider (ISP) or in some cases the IT department at their workplace.

The email address news@digitalmusicnews.com should be on your whitelist or list of safe senders in your email account. This is the email address the Daily Snapshot email arrives from each day. You may need your ISP or IT administrator to do this for you.

Do I Need to Register to Receive the Daily Snapshot?

Yes.

BUT, if you signed up with us before 2007, you do not have to be registered.  The reason is that we only started requiring registration at the beginning of 2007.

If you fit into this category, when you do register to receive additional site access, just indicate that you already recieve the Daily Snapshot.

How do I add the Daily Snapshot email to the 'safe senders' list for my ISP?

Microsoft Outlook 2003

Add digitalmusicnews.com to your Safe Senders list.

AOL

There is a spam-blocking feature in that will direct e-mails to a junk folder if the sender's address is not in your address book. Please login to your AOL account and add news@digitalmusicnews.com to your address book.

Hotmail/MSN

Occasionally the spam filtering program used by Hotmail and MSN will direct Daily Snapshot e-mails to the junk mail folder. To keep this from happening, we recommend the following:

Login to your Hotmail or MSN account

Click on "options"

Click on "safe list"

Add digitalmusicnews.com to your safe list

Yahoo

Occasionally the spam filtering program used by Yahoo will direct Daily Snapshot e-mails to the junk mail folder. To keep this from happening, we recommend the following:

Login to your Yahoo account

Click on "Mail Options"

Click on "Filters"

To the right of "From header contains", type digitalmusicnews.com

To the right of "Then...Move the message to", select "Inbox"

Click the "Add Filter" button

Other Internet Service Providers:

If you are subscribed to the Daily Snapshot, but are not receiving the e-mails, your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or company is blocking them, perhaps because they think the Daily Snapshot is spam.

Here is what you can do to fix this:

Get in touch with technical support at your ISP or company and explain the problem. If they are blocking e-mail from Digital Music News, ask them to stop. One way they can do this is to place digitalmusicnews.com on an e-mail "safe list".

Some web-based e-mail systems allow you to set your own safe list. Look for it in the settings section, and add digitalmusicnews.com.

You should receive the Daily Snapshot every weekday, excepting public holidays. If you have missed any emails, please email us immediately at support@digitalmusicnews.com and we will work with you to resolve the situation.
