Position: Editorial Manager

LimeWire Store seeks an experienced, dedicated, diverse, and energetic Editorial Manager to contribute his/her hard work, creative content ideas, and project management skills to LimeWire’s music initiatives. In this role, editorial assignments and creative directions are often influenced by the overall business goals, therefore applicants must be able to give and take creative direction when it comes to final decisions with marketing, merchandising, and promotional ideas. Core responsibilities include management of Store editorial, Store messaging, and Music Blog.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead all editorial efforts for LimeWire Store, including, but not limited to, album reviews, label and artist profiles, special editorial features

• Copywriting for all aspects of LimeWire Store including messages and communications to stimulate product usage e.g. product instructions, error messages, product marketing emails

• Create, build, and improve current editorial-driven campaigns and promotions

• Develop and retain freelancers as needed and oversee their invoicing

• Contribute and help execute bold creative editorial content strategies that grow overall music business

• Work closely with Programming Manager to insure that our partners’ priorities are showcased across LW Store real estate

• Work closely with Partner Relations and Product Manager to insure that Editorial campaigns are consistent with the overall business strategy

• Investigate possible outside editorial-based partnerships and maintain those relationships

• Troubleshoot, report, and fix data integrity issues

• Own and manage the current Music blog

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Broad music knowledge

• Proven writing and editing skills with supporting samples

• Strong desire to be part of a growing team and willingness to multitask as needed

• Effective communication skills- both internally and externally

• Demonstrated project management experience with both small and large projects

• Basic HTML knowledge

• Existing relationships within the music community strongly preferred
