Another Report Surfaces on Red Bull Music Initiative

Red Bull is actively developing a music label initiative, according to a report surfacing Tuesday.  The plans, first disclosed by Digital Music News in November, are now being echoed and largely rehashed by Peter Lauria of the New York Post.  That includes details of a high-end recording studio in Santa Monica, one that is actively being used by artists. 

The initiative would clearly leverage the massive brand equity that Red Bull enjoys.  The Post report leaned heavily on the branded recording label concept, and a potential launch by year-end.  Sources to Digital Music News offered a similar outline, though they also pointed to broader possibilities.  Undoubtedly the blueprints were more fluid months ago, though a broader, 360-degree approach seems more sensible in the current market context.
