How do you measure traction? Lots of ways, though anything ending in 'llion' is sure to dazzle. Most recently, the iPhone App Store crossed one billion, and several music-focused apps (Pandora, Shazam, Tap Tap Revenge) have crossed into the millions.
But other thresholds are also happening. In Europe, Spotify continues to make noise, most recently crossing one million registered users in the UK. The ad-supported, elegant on-demand application is adding 40,000 users per day, and the millionaire threshold has already been reached across Europe.
Who else? Slacker just crossed one million downloads on the Blackberry App World, a nice bit of off-iPhone news.
And of course, more Twitter thresholds await. Ashton Kutcher was the first person to hit a million, but Britney Spears has also quietly crossed the line. On Wednesday, Spears rested comfortably a 1.23 million, leaving competitors like John Mayer (approaching 896,000) far behind.
