Getting good press? ReverbNation is now layering a feature that allows bands to aggregate and distribute media accolades, part of its broader marketing platform. The tool is being offered to a ReverbNation clientele of roughly 215,000 bands and musicians, according to company estimates.
The 'Press Widget' can be distributed across any number of 2.0-friendly sites, including MySpace, Facebook, and Bebo. The application allows bands to pull and display quotes from various clippings, and centrally update the content. "The Press Widget can't get you good reviews, but it can help you showcase the ones you do get," said Jed Carlson, cofounder and chief operating officer of ReverbNation.com.
