Not only that, the three biggest Twitter accounts are absolute tweet monsters: Lady Gaga rules with 15.1 million followers, Justin Bieber with 13.9 million, and Katy Perry with 11.5 million. That's enough to beat a fourth-place Obama, according to stats shared by Twitaholic.
A deeper dive reveals some similarly musician-heavy stats. Of the top 50 most followed accounts, 25 are musicians or heavily music-related. That percentage starts to fade somewhat in the top 100, where 44 are musicians.
And #100? That'd be Rev Run, whose greatest burst of fame happened decades before Twitter was even a hairbrained concept.
