Job Description
The Vice President of Digital Promotion and Online Marketing creates and implements long term online promotional strategies for Artists on Warner Bros Records. You're a passionate music fan who can design and implement effective campaigns to service all areas of an Artist's career, including traditional recorded music, sales, digital singles, tickets, online merchandise, direct to consumer special packages, and more. You are familiar with different creative stages of the Artist development cycle, from awareness for developing new acts, to maximizing revenue for superstar artists.
The VP of Digital Promotion and Online Marketing is a passionate digital marketer who works with a talented team of new media experts. Communication skills are an absolute necessity. An ideal candidate thrives in a team environment, but is able to take initiative and get jobs done efficiently. This position is an integral part of determining the strategies, tools, goals, and objectives in the success of an Artist’s career.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Create online marketing and promotion strategies for artists on WBR roster.
- Measure and analyze campaign performance and provide insights and key learnings to other departments.
- Assess effectiveness of various promotional outlets on sales, traffic, and engagement.
- Proactively develop and grow relationships with key artists, management, and digital ecosystem partners.
- Discover new sites and outlets to promote WBR artists and maintain relationships with existing sites and partners.
- Obtain approvals from artists' managers and coordinate with Business Affairs for all legal documentation.
- Coordinate with various WBR departments: Radio Promotion, Publicity, International Marketing, Street Marketing, Strategic Marketing, and Warner Music Group.
Skills
- Ability to manage a complex campaign across multiple divisions
- Must have at least 5 years experience in online marketing in music, and/or entertainment
- Hands on experience in digital marketing and social media
